Q: Blood glucose readings vary by temperature?

I have noticed that as the weather (and home) have gotten colder my results are a lot different. So today when i got up i checked my fasting with the meter as it sat all night with no heat on down stairs and my level was 116. Then I placed the meter in my pocket and warmed it up for about 30 second and retested my levels on the same finger (ouch) and the results were 95, about a minute later. Why would there be such a huge difference in my levels? The meter doesn't say it is too cold nor too hot when i warm it. Am I getting false reading by warming it up? i have gestational diabetes and am on glyburide to maintain my fasting levels. My fasting levels are always high, but now that I have started to warm the meter first thing in the morning, my number are in range. I just want to make sure i am accurately using the meter and testing properly for my baby's sake. Thank you =)
