Q: What can I eat or drink that is High carbs but low calorie to sustain my Blood Sugar?

I know that sounded weird, but I am a Type 1 Diabetic and I'm so frustrated.  When I exercise I usually go 50 minutes on the bike and 25 minutes of weights.

To sustain my blood sugar, I have to eat a Power Bar Harvest before exercising.  Its 240 calories with 45 carbohydrates.  That usually takes me to about 185 BG.  It lasts only 20 to 25 minutes before I start to drop.  Then I have to eat a Fiber One Bar, which is only 140 calories and only 22 carbohydrates.  It barely gets me through 50 minutes, then I have to eat a few Glucose sugar pills.

I am SO frustrated that I have to eat 380 calories to just exercise!  Is there anything else I can eat or drink that would be better to keep me at a higher BG?

I've lost 53 pounds and I hate eating all this unnecessary calories.  Help please!

Thanks,

Cenandra
