I have Type 1 diabetes around 6 years. Now, I am using Humalog insulin 3 times daily

and Lantus (45-50 units) at bed time. I need to lose weight because with age situation becomes worse. I am trying use healthy food only, but it doesn't help much. Some people recommend to add Acai Berry supplement, but I am not sure that it works for me with Type 1 diabetes, and doesn't bring some side effects.

Can you recommend the right diet way for me in this case?

Thanks a lot,

Hello! You are eating healthy, do you exercise? I know when I was on the fast track of eating health and going to the gym I lost about 15 pounds. Click here, it will take you to our Diabetes Diet section. The Diabetes Diet section, talks about carb counting and managing weight. You should also talk to your Physician about recommending a few things for you also.

Good Luck
