Is Byetta safe or harmful while trying to concieve-doctor is no help- and who can I consult?

My doctor isn't a real big help, she doesn't listen to us. As we have been trying for close to a year to concieve and we've told her many times this, and she just now pointed out that one of my medications is harmful to a fetus if I were to get pregnant. So any help would be appreciated. We are trying to concieve as stated and I am currently on the Byetta shot twice daily. My doctor told us she doesn't know if it is safe to continue taking while trying to concieve, Does anyone know if it helps or harm for conception as well as who I could talk to find out???
