How is a person suppose to exercise alot when they can hardly walk and hurt all of the time ?

Hello! There are many different forms of exercising. There is water aerobics; it heard it is good on the body and you can have a lot of fun while doing it. You could also take it one day at a time. Walk around your house and once your use to it walk from your front steps to the side walk. The next thing you know you'll be walking the block. Exercising is one of the main keys to managing diabetes. You have to be patient and don't give up before you try it. Talk to your Physician about water aerobics and other alternatives he may be able to advise.

I've had neuropathy symptoms in my feet for several months, not pain per se, but dreadful burning and stinging and these are indeed worse when I am on my feet. Learning that I had to increase my exercise to help control my prediabetes, I opted to buy a good used recumbant bike -- found one in my area on Craigs List. This way I am off my feet which don't hurt at all while doing this cycling, and when I feel like it I hold 2-pound weights in my hands and work my arms out while peddling for a pretty good overall workout.
