Q: Has anyone combination proton pump and DPP-4 inhibitor study in humans? Jefferson

There are a lot of diabetics with GERD that are likely to take a combination therapy of a proton pump inhibitor and Januvia (DPPP-4 inhibitor). How does this combination effect blood glucose control? It would seem like a large insurance company would be able to do a comparator study of patients only using one of these therapies versus those that take a combination.
