Hi

I've had diabetes type 1 for almost 27 yrs.I'm now 32.There's this unusual kind of puffiness that i've started noticing under my eyes only recently and especially when I smile,it gets all the more prominent. All my tests -thyroid,Hba1c,kidney related are normal.I've noticed puffiness under the eyes of other people also but mine seems different. What do I do about it?Are there any specific tests that i need to undergo?

Hello ruchika,

Sometimes puffyness under the eyes is a sign of a mild allergic reaction. I would recommend seeing your doctor and asking them what they think it is. There is no substitute for a personal visit to a trained medical professional.
