Q: how complicated is my married life likely to be if at all i get married at this age?

I've been Type 1 diabetic for the last 27 yrs.I'm now 32 yrs.old, thinking about marriage. Is it wise on my part to go for it?what complications are likely to arise in my married life? Though i guess marriage in my case n that too in India where we've arranged marriage system is just a wishful thinking...I've been trying to find a suitable match but it all looks like a futile search coz'the very first thing that i mention is the fact of me being diabetic but it doesn't work out. I guess I'm just being honest here coz' diabetes is what defines me!!!!

Many people with type 1 diabetes get married and have happy married lives and children. If you find that potential husbands are afraid of your diabetes, why don't you try to find a man who also has diabetes. Then you could help each other.

Boy you were young! I've had Type 1 diabetes for 44 years and three husbands Undecided

My current (and Last)Laughing hubby is wonderful ! Diabetes is all through his family...mostly Type 2, but it has helped so much. We've been married almost 20 years now.

Don't let it worry you, looking back there were lots of signs I could have noticed along the dating part of the relationships.

One ex passed out getting his blood drawn for the marriage license.  Another didn't like waiting for me to grab my tester when we left, oh well. They both ate candies and cakes all the time, and didn't remember to get 'Diet' soda for me, just their type cans.

Get a pen-pal from anywhere and get to know them well first, we did and it really worked.

Oh I added a snack time before and during sex to avoid shock. Sometimes it hard to tell there's so much emotionEmbarassed

There are plenty of guys here from India, with good insurance. Try taking out an Ad in a newspaper, here or there for a Pen-Pal?

Best Wishes
