ITMOM-   Hi! I am not a Doctor but speaking from my experience.  I am a Diabetic and my recent A1C test was 6.3. Endo's like to see anything under 6.0.  If her fasting levels are 80-90 that's not bad at all! If her Doctor recommends the test, why not have it done?  I would say have it done:) so, the Doctor can feel better about your Daughter's health.  Type 2 is becoming a huge epidemic in children. OGTT will help determine if your daughter is diabetic, it'll only help your daughter.   Hope this helps   Cherise  Community Moderator
