Q: I have developed indentions on my stomach where my insertion is for my pump.

I have developed indentions on my stomach where my insertion is for my pump. I move my sites every three days & do not re-use the spots.  Could it be the insulin doing this, I use Humalog & always have in my pump.  Are there other spots that works as well as the stomach? I am a small person so I don't have much room to work with on my stomach.

Kari-

Hello! There are many different places you can use your insulin pump.  You can use your thighs (inner and outter), lower back, stomach, buttocks and the quadrant area. I would say anywhere there is meat:)   I am not sure about the indentions, I've never experienced them before.  I can witness the marks that are left from the infusion site, they can be a little ugly.  I hope this helps.
