Q: Is fruit good for diabetics?

Will fruit make your sugar level jump? What kind of fruits are okay to eat and how much?

fruit is healthy for diabetics, however it will cause high sugar- my advice is to stay away from juice, and don't eat fruit all by itself- have it with a meal (as 'dessert') to slow the sugar absorption down- how much is good for you is simple- eat the fruit/meal and check your sugar 2 hours later- if you are high, then try a smaller portion next time- good luck and remember- if a tomato is a fruit, then it will raise your sugar, but if it's a vegetable, it's fine Reply
