Joyce-

Hello! I am sorry to hear about your legs.  I think you should call your Physician and make an appointment with him or her ASAP! Purple ankles doesn't sound good.  DO you have neuropathy? Can you feel your ankles? If you answered yes to both of my questions call your Physician ASAP.

Joyce, it is difficult to answer a question like this unless one can see

what it is you are describing.  Is it only your ankles or your feet as well?

Circulation problems can cause discoloration, but one would think your feet would also

be discolored, not just your ankles.  This is an excellent question to ask your doctor.....

because it may help her/him realize that this is something she/he can assist you with.

I have my "senior moments" these days, so sometimes when I have to see my doctor, I take a little paper where I've jotted down those things I wish to bring to her attention.

If there is more to your purple ankles than you have shared here---tingling, aching,

coldness, etc.---write it all down to your doctor has adequate information with which to form an opinion and assist you.

I do wish you all the best!
