Can I get diabetic neorapathy on the side of my face.

I have had type 2 diabetes for 2 years.  I have been struggling with meds and keeping my glucose levels low.  I have a lot of pain in my feet and some in my right hand.  My last A1c was 10.9. This month I have been having a weird numbness on the right side of my head in the temple area.  It pulses on the side of my face.  It has  gotten worse.  I had blood tests to rule out a tempural artery problem and was given a med. for migranes.   The  meds made me sick and I stopped them.  I havent been able to get a hold of my doctor this week.  I am worried that it has something to do with my eyesight.  I teach elementary school and I am worried about my health affecting my job.  Is this a type of neuropathy?
