Theresa-   Hello! I haven't been a diabetic as long as you have or have any complications but what I can tell you is that you are not alone. There are many people out there struggling with Diabetes and who have complications. I agree with Tamara, the nervous system always seem to get attacked for some reason.  I think with the proper medication, blood glucose control and care from your healthcare team I think you can get right back on track. I know you mentioned that you can't drive.  There is a great online community called Tudiabetes.com.  There is a lot of people who have been through what you are going through right now. I know speaking from my own experience it's good to surround yourself with people who understand diabetes. I hope this helps   Cherise Community Moderator
