Q: type 2 diabetic

I put myself on a diet and gone from 241 to 218, A1c is now 6.2, but my free T4 is 0.93(normal)and my TSH is 0.1 (low), I have a immune disorder(polymyalgia rheumatica).  I take 0.2mg synthroid,10 mg. predisone, glucaphage 1000mg, 1000mcg of vitamin B-12 daily. I was on 17.5mg of methrotexate, but was taken off because it was causing lung damageI use a inhaler for wheezing(walking).  The predisone takes the pain away, but I feel that it may be causing the labs to not be normal. I need guidance to know what direction to take. I am 6'2", age 70, male.  Thanks....
