Rosie-

First off check your blood sugar asap when you feel like this. You probably are low. Sometimes you can feel that way being high too. If you dont' check your sugar you won't know what action to take for it.

There have been times when my blood is perfectly fine and I feel that way. I still may have a glass of Orange juice or some crackers, because chances are you may have gone low, and didn't know it-or you're on your way down being low.

Hope this helps. If it continues often, I would talk to your Doctor.

My guess is it has nothing to do with Coffee

Check your blood sugar ASAP! Your blood sugar may be getting low.  If you are experiencing low blood sugar you need to eat something that will raise your blood sugar up. Some people use juice, candy or glucose tablets.  Dropping to low isn't good.  You could be high.  The best thing to do is check your bg's because you don't want to treat a high, thinking it's a low.  If you are having too many lows or highs, talk to your physician, he or she may need to make some adjustments.
