Rosie-

If you medication dose isn't working for you talk yo your physician.  You should take your meter with you so they can track and trend you blood sugar, it'll help them make changes in your medication (if needed).

type I is when your pancreas doesn't produce (enough) insulin- this means you must take insulin injections

type II is when your insulin doesn't work well enough- weight loss and medicine can help the insulin to work, or you could take insulin injections (which resembles type I, but the insulin still won't work as well)

Hello! You shouldn't feel silly at all:)

Type 1-insulin problem is absence.

Type 1.5/LADA- insulin problem is insulin deficiency

Type 2-insulin problem is insulin resistance.

This how I remember the difference between the 3.
