i was diagnose with type 2 diabetes can I drink milk ? I am taking metformin 2 times a day.

I am taking metformin too and it can effect your stomach,I have diarrhea at times,I cant see why u can't drink milk.As for me I do drink milk but have a lactose problem and when i eat cereal,alot of times it affects my stomach too.Linda
