i have a family history of diabetes. my father, my 1/2 sister and 1/2 niece. i had the testing done to see if I carried the gene and it was neg, how ever my doctor gave me the meter to keep check for the 2 weeks. my fastings are always high after 8-11 hrs between 126-138) then during the day it is normal (101-120) why is the fasting count so high???
Q: high fasting glucose readings and normal any other time. confused.
