Hello Dee Taylor,
"Good carbs" come from whole grain sources like whole wheat bread, and fruits/vegtables and beans. "Bad carbs" come from artificial sugars in soda, candy, white bread and other processed foods. It is very important, espcially if you are diabetic, to maintain a healthy amount of good carbs in your diet. It is equally important to avoid bad carbs by cutting down on candy, soda, white bread products and processed sugars.
