Hello Dee Taylor,   "Good carbs" come from whole grain sources like whole wheat bread, and fruits/vegtables and beans. "Bad carbs" come from artificial sugars in soda, candy, white bread and other processed foods. It is very important, espcially if you are diabetic, to maintain a healthy amount of good carbs in your diet. It is equally important to avoid bad carbs by cutting down on candy, soda, white bread products and processed sugars.   For complete information on Diabetes diets try this link,
