I was just diagnosed with Diabetic nueropathy. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 26 years ago. My sugar levels have been under control for the past 8 years so why the nueropathy now?

Just have to share this...about two and a half years ago I went to the doctor to try to figure out what was going on in my right breast-tingling, itching, burning, numbness and aching-mostly after I had gone to bed. Got an order to go for a mammogram and "oh, by the way, you have diabetes!" I know now from having the same things going on in my feet that it was neuropathyi but I've never heard of the boob variety!! Maybe it was just the Lord's way of getting me to a doctor! And until I knew I had a real problem, I never had it in my feet. The only relief that I know works for me now is tight control on the blood sugar-the higher it goes, the more I tingle, burn, itch and ache. Things could be worse!
