Q: Current glucophage daily dose is 2 gms and not controlling diabetes, whats next?

Are there better drugs to use, in the absence of dietary control and exercise?

sulfonylureas are usually next, unless your HgBA1C is very high, then insulin may be needed- the key is weight loss- if you are maintaining your weight, and your sugar remains high, then it's not your fault- you need medicine to help- however, if you are gaining weight, then the onus is more on you to cut back on CHO/exercise more to bring the sugar down- good luck and remember what Timothy Leary said- there's always a better drug to use
