If you have been taking Actos then I'm sure that you are well aware of the high cost of this drug. I was taking Actos (at $ 246.00 for 30 day supply at walmart no less) and Januvia (at $197.00 for a thirty day supply). I actually found that when I stopped taking Actos and only took Januvia that my numbers dropped! Taking Januvia I believe had done the most good for me. Januvia would probably be a great choice for you as long as you can afford it. I had to stop taking it because of it's cost and started taking metformin and just like you my numbers went up. You could also talk to your doctor about taking glipizide extended-release along with metformin which keeps your numbers down but you must test regularly for hypoglycemia. I hope this was helpful.
