Q: is lantus the insulin of choice for patients on hemodialysis due to decreased excretion from renal f

Renal failure causes decreased excretion of insulin. What is the insulin of choice for patients on hemodialysis that are type I DM?

I am not sure what or if there is a insulin of choice for type 1 diabetic's.  I can tell you this everyone's body is different.  You should consult with your physician or Endocrinologist about the insulin choice her or she recommends for you while you are on hemodialysis.
