Q: my fasting blood glucose level is 100 mg and random 87 mg i am diabetic? my father was non diabetic.

From just these numbers it does not sound like it, however your Dr may have, or can run additional tests to determine. You can not get a diagnosis that is to be trusted over the internet. I'm type 2 and if I gave my numbers without revealing the fact that I take oral meds, it also would sound like I am not.

Fasting blood sugar should be between 90 and 120 for a Diabetic so you are OK. As for the random it depends how long after a meal you take your blood sugar. If this 87 is just before a meal I would guess (i am not a Doctor) it is OK.
