Q: What are the uncomfortable feelings my newly diagnosed daughter is getting in her feet?

My daughter 11 has had a variety of challenges, like most, getting on track with her type 1 diabetes.  Insulin shots can sting and she often can take much time to do tests and injections.  Other things I have presented to our doctor but have been dismissed are tummy aches and achey feet.  She is frequently feeling hungry and has readings that can swing from 5 - 20 within the day.

Hello! I am sorry to hear about your daughter's DX but the good thing is it's not so bad living with diabetes once you get use to everything.  Click here, it will tell you about diabetic neuropathy. Click here, it will take you to islet of hopes website.  There is a lot of information on foot pain there.  You should consult with your daughters physician about any issues concerning your daughters health.
