When was the 142 taken at? Is that with the one hour test? If it was one hour, it maybe okay...I am not sure cause that is slightly higher than the 140 top my doc gave me when I was pregnant for 2 hours after I had eaten, when he had me on insulin.  My test though I eeked when I saw it they tested me the one hour after I drank the drink which was an hour after I had eaten lunch too and it came out at 215!  I could hardly believe it when I saw it! Then I came down with a wrotten cold that lasted a week right after so it may have been partly that?  But when the numbers came back from the 3 hour test it was pretty much the same result all but my fasting which was an 80 (pass) were all 200 or more!  Even for the third blood draw! Oy I was upset alright about it. Anyways my numbers when I was on the insulin were like 60's to 80's mostly some 90's fasting and for 2 hours after I had eaten it was like 80's to about 120's normally sure I did go over that a couple of times once up to 195 when I was first diagnosed and trying to learn how to be able to eat out too.  (For me going to a Chinese restaurant pushed me up higher).
