Saturday, January 10, 2009 Larry asks

Q: I lost 100lbs in 2007 and have kept it off since then but my blood sugar level is still high.

After loosing the weight, my BP is down to 100/60 for an average and my cholesterol both high and low levels are OK but my blood sugar level is still high. Fasting level was 190 today and 140 the week before. What do I need to do to get the BS levels down to the 100 area.

I walk 3-4 miles a day, 5 days a week.

Thanks

Larry-

Hello! You exercise and lost weight, how many carbs to you eat per meal? You may need to lower your carb intake. Do you eat a snack before bed? If so, you might want to either change what you snack on or cut it out. You could also be coming down with something? You could also be experiencing the Dawn P., click here and it will take you to an article called "Taming the Dawn Phenomenon." You may need an adjustment to your medication. I wouldn't wait another week, you should call your physician.
