I take Metformin (1000) and I have never experienced this. Inless someone has, I would look into another reason. Hope I helped.

Thanks for your reply, i asked my nurse and she said it could be due to the tablets or due to my change to healthy eating. I know i am not pregnant cos i have been sterilised! Has anyone else had this happen to them?  Thanks again

I took metformin for a yesr or more with mega-problems but that was NOT one of them. I agree you should get it checked.

I have been on 2000 mg/daily  metformin for over 2 years and have never had a problem with this, nor have I ever heard of this in metformin use. I also take actos and that can cause changes in the menstrual cycle. Stress can also casue changes in your cycle. See a DR if you don't get your period soon.
