Monday, June 20, 2011 Courtney asks

Q: i am newly diagnosed...the hospital told me to check my blood sugar at least 4 times a day, and extra if i feel low. is it too much to check 7-8 times a day?

Hi Courtney,

Not in the beginning.  You're just getting your feet wet and until you can understand the symptoms, best to use your meter and check.  You'll get the hang of it. 

 

Are you type1 or type2?  I'm assuming type1 from the comment regarding lows.
