Hi Al,

Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, Glucotrol cannot be substituted for Actos. Glucotrol and Glyburide (a component of the Glyb-Metformin that you take) are very similar medications and cannot be taken together. Though all of your medications help to control your diabetes, each medication works differently in your body, so that they all work together to produce the best coverage. I hope this helps!

Best of luck,

Casey

I have 2 questions, Please. At this time I am taking Actos 45 mg once a day in the morning. I  also take Metformin HCL increased to 1000 mg 2 times a day. Is Glyb-Metformin and Metformin the same?  Also, do you know anything of a new product called Glymetrol for diagetes control?
