Q: Complications of Type 1 diabeties with uncontrolled blood glucose readings...

I have type 1 diabeties and have recently started experiencing swelling of my feet and ankles with some pain when touching of the skin at the ankles, what could be a possible cause for this?

Hello! I am not a physician but it sounds like you could either be dealing with neuropathy or water retention just to name a few.  If your blood glucose levels are out of control yo have to be very careful because neuropathy will set in.  Click here, to read more about neuropathy.  You should also let your physician know what's going on, you don't want to let this pass bye without your physician knowing about it.
