I have the same question as sweetstuff. Is it normal to start getting lumpy, bruising, and bleeding at injection sites. I use both my stomach and my thighs. I have been titrating my long lasting basil insulin since August 2008.  I am up ro 50mL at bed time (split 2 sites).  My morning BS continued to be around 180.  I started fast acting at meal time, this helps. But, I will check my BS before I eat, and many times it is around 140. I get confused as to how much quick acting I should take prior to eating to anticipate the meal.
