Melissa-   Hello! in my own personal opinion I think you should go to an endo.  My PCP was good but not good enough to help me manage my diabetes. There are some PCP's who are great with diabetic's but there are some who are clueless. I think that if you have Type 1 and your insurance will cover a trip to the Endo, you should go.  I am also a diabetic and I see my endo every 3 months.  I also like being able to get proper test done to make sure everything else in the endo system is working ok.  I hope this helps   Cherise Community Moderator
