Before I became a diabetic I use to be on diet pills to help me lose weight and it was working. Then I became a diabetic and I was told I couldn't take them no more, but was never told why.
Taking any kind of medication or suppliment when you are diabetic could be a disaster. You do not know what kind of interaction you will have when you do. When taking medications or suppliments, you should always consult your doctor (which is sounds like you did and that's great!)
Online sites are great places to get the information you need to ask all the right questions, but they can never replace your doctor's solid medical advice.
