I've been on Byetta for almost a year.  it was real tough in the beginning but I did lose the weight from nausea and not eating.  Now it's back.  The byetta has worked. My A1C is 6.5 and I average 130 sugars.

I also take 45 actos and 2.5 glyburide.  Byetta 2x am. and noon 5 mg each time.  Can't take the 10, I crash to 30-40 every time.  I'm really concerned about the weight and hate the way I look.  Please help.  I walk most days about 1 mile.  I also have RLS which has gotten worse since the weight gain and is keeping up all night. I'm a mess and need help......

Peggy-

I see that you mentioned you walk about a mile a day. Good job and I hope you can keep it up. Has your carbohydrate intake increased??? I am not a Doctor but from my own experience I gained weight on insulin. My Endo said it's because my body is back to it's normal self. I decided I needed to lower my carb intake and it's helped me maintain my weight along with walking. You may want to see your Physician to see what recommendations he or she may have for you.
