Yes, I experienced the same on ocassion.  I have found that reducing stress is not as easy as it sounds.  Yet it is something we have to work towards to help ourselves if we want to control our blood sugar levels. For me, praying and meditating seem to help.  I also try to be more positive in my attitude toward things that get me down or burden me more than I want.  This is not easy and I am not always successful, so I too experience "out of control" excursions.  I offer you that practicing what ever helps you ease the anxiety will help in lessen the "out of control" excursions.  The what ever helps varies for each of us so start to list the things that help you and then practice them daily until you get proficient.  Hope this helps.  It has helped me.
