Hi ban,   Thank you for your question! Actos is not directly associated with increasing blood pressure, but it is known to cause edema or swelling. The edema is an increase in fluid in the body, which may lead to an increase in blood pressure. Edema is a somewhat commong side effect, occurring in about 5% of the people taking Actos. Other factors that may cause an increase in blood pressure include exercise, smoking, stress, and caffeine. If you are concerned that the Actos is causing your blood pressure to increase, you may want to speak with your doctor about the situation. I hope this helps!   Best of luck, Casey
