Marilyn-

You can try Walmart; I heard they offer generic med's, insulin, strips and lancets for half the price.  You will have to consult your Physician before using generic medication. You can also try calling the company who manufactures your insulin, strips and avapro. I know a lot of the companies offer assistance to people who are having financial issues.  If you need further information, please let me know.

I've found filling out surveys on my different health issues that I get coupons for free medicine to try.  I take Cymbalta and it may ask if I suffer from depresion and then ask if  I'd be interested in trying their product,(Cymbalta).

Also writing the companies directly will sometimes help.  Another way I call around to different stores to get quotes on cost.

Big warehouse stores have good prices and you can get in free with no membership dues when using their pharmacy.

Of course Walmarts and now many others (ie: Krogers and other supermarkets) have lower cost for maintence meds for conditions such as diabetes, asthma, ect.. Good luck.Laughing
