Marilyn- You can try Walmart; I heard they offer generic med's, insulin, strips and lancets for half the price. You will have to consult your Physician before using generic medication. You can also try calling the company who manufactures your insulin, strips and avapro. I know a lot of the companies offer assistance to people who are having financial issues.
