I need to know what the sliding scale of Humalog should be, I take 60 units of Lantus once a day. What is the max that is safe to take of Humalog at a time with meals? My prescription says 60 units per day of Humalog as needed. My homehealth care nurse says that it shouldn't be over 14 units at a time, not 20.

Scale for Humalog. 151-200 3 units, 201 to 250 5 Units, 251 to 300 7 Units
301- to 350 9 Units, 351 to 400 11 Units, greater thab 400 15Units.
