Q: why does my shots and my pills for diabetes make my blood sugar go up and not down

my name is jerry and iv'e had diabetes for 7 years and no matter what i take my sugar goes through the roof, my blood sugar goes from 300 to 600 and up all the time, i do everything i can for diabetes but nothing works even my doctor has give up on me she is out of ansers and so am i, and if it goes below 300 it makes me real sick, maybe everything is backwards for me.

Hello! You maybe insulin resistant.  There was an article written at dlife.com called "Type 2 Diabetes/Insulin Resistance".  If you click on the link, you will find information on the history of insulin resistance, the basic's of insulin resistance and much more.  Talk to your healthcare provider to see what he or she says. I hope this helps.
