Jerry,   Have you thought about going to another doctor? Do you see an endocrinologist or a Primary Care Physician. I can't see a doctor giving up on a patient that is trying to help themselves get healthy.   There are many things a doctor can do for you like sending you to a nutritionist to help you make better meal and snack choices, and by giving you different diabetes medicine combinations.    Do you check your blood sugars regularly at least 4 times a day? I am curious to know what medications you take?    Don't give up go somewhere else.
