Monday, April 28, 2008 SHanda asks

Q: I had a reading today and my reading came back as 8.2 mmol/l. What does this mean?

Just a random check. Currently sufering from ear infection, ahd cereal 1 half before reading was taken.

For folks in the U.S., that means your blood sugar was about 148 which is a little on the high side for someone without diabetes.

 

Check it again when healthy, as even nondiabetics have higher sugars when the body is fighting an infection.
