Hello Margaret dunne,

The honey probably will not drastically alter your mothers blood sugar levels. However, she should consult a medical professional regarding her leg ulcer. There may be other (less sugary) ways of dealing with the it.Wink

Look at my blog and check me out on facebook, patients with diabetes and skin ulcers were given manuka honey topically and there was no elevation in sugar elevation. http://ManukaHoneyTX.blogspot.com
