Q: I was told I have diabetes 2years ago. I lost around 30pds. Now all I want to do is to eat;

What can I do to curb my apptetite?  I also have started to put some weight back on, which I know is not good for me.  It is very upsetting to know I am struggling with this.  I do exercise also.

Sandra-

Hi! How many meals do you eat per day and do you eat any snacks? I know that eating small meals a day helps. Here is a link to Diabetic Diets, it has a lot of information about Dieting and Weight Management.  Great Job on the weight loss. Keep up the good work.

Yes, smaller meals.  BUT, carbs will make you hungrier and so will alcohol, white sugar, and white flour.  I get ravenous when I PMS..... hungry like a wolf, lol !!!  If you try to focus on healthy proteins and healthy fats, you will also feel more satisfied, and add fiber to your regimen.  Note:  If you do not sleep enough, it affects your hormones, and is known to increase hunger.  I can attest to that, my appetite was non stop when sleeping very little.  Also, unreasonable stress can raise cortisol levels.  Exercise - all kinds and aerobic type, drinking water before and after a meal can also curb appetite, and eating more foods with fiber. :) Support from friends helps too.  Start a food journal, and write down portions, snacks, meals, and beverages, and see how much you actually are taking in.  I go back and forth with 5 lbs, and give myself a central weight setpoint I watch.  Best of luck....

I don't see a word in there about your meds?  Assuming you're Type-2, are you taking Metformin?  If not, get to a doctor NOW/immediately, and get a prescription for it.  If you are, get back to a doctor and tell him/her that it's no longer working the way it used to.

As others may have said, eating carbos makes you want more carbos.  Eating healthier foods tends to get rid of the cravings within a few days.  So.. diet, exercise, and Metformin... or whatever else your doc prescribes.
