We have two bloggers on this site that have type 1 diabetes and have had children without complication. It takes prep work, but is very doable! Check Kelsey Bonilla's blogs and Also Kerri Sparling. Kerri just had a baby in April!

If you go back to the begining of Kelsey's posts they are all about pregnancy and diabetes! Highly recommend them if you are thinking about getting pregnant!

yes,you can still have a baby with diabetes,but you should discuss it with your doctor first because you can't take certain diabetes medications while you are pregnant.i don't know if you are type 1 or 2 but your a1c is to high and it would be a good idea to bring your a1c down to no more than 6 for type 2 and no more than 7 for type 1
