What different types of insulin are there and their difference?

Lately my husband is adviced to used insulin by his doctor. He is worried. Reading some articles, found that there r three types of insulin, it could be a great help if you could explain them and also if there is any side effects injecting insulin. Thank you.

Hello! I use insulin and tell your husband there isn't anything to worry about. Personally, I like using insulin a lot better than pills because I have a little more control of my diabetes. There are 3 types of insulin and it depends on your husbands needs and what his physician prescribes for him. The best way to explain insulin is...1. how soon it starts working, the onset. 2. when it works it's best or when the insulin peaks. 3. how long does it stay in the body.  Click here, it will take you to information about insulin and what it does to the body.
