As someone with type 1 diabetes I am quite aware of how bad a low bloodsugar can feel and have had hundreds of low bloodsugars. I cannot comment on the meds but I would suggest testing your bloodsugar more often and making sure you have a sugar source on hand at all times for lows. For some reason Swedish Fish and Coca Cola work swell for me. Wait 15 minutes after ingesting around 15 g of carbs and test again.

P.S. It is always wise to test when you feel low because sometimes you may not be low but simply in the process of lowering your sugar from a high to a low. If I go from like 350 to 200 in 45 minutes or an hour it often makes me feel so low  but really I am high but have dropped 150 points in an hour which is A LOT. So test test test and keep sugar nearby. 58 mg/dl doesn't scare me anymore but I am used to seeing much lower numbers at times and treating it--the odd thing is sometimes a 58 mg/dl can feel worse than a 38 mg/dl and sometimes an 80 mg/dl feels awfully low when a 50 mg/dl does not. Testing is key.
